I suggest cutting it rather than infecting the other leaves and paying attention to the roots. Whether there is any rot, it's better to cut it:((

I totally agree that this plant might be due to overwatering, and it seems like your plant might not have good drainage. It would be great if you could check on the roots and see if they're still doing well. Overwatering can also be tough on the roots and sometimes lead to brown spots. These spots can be signs that the poor leaves might not survive.
